Fawad Khan made a grand comeback to Bollywood after eight years

Pakistani star Fawad Khan is all set to make a much-anticipated comeback to Bollywood after a hiatus of eight years. Fawad Khan, known for his captivating performances, last appeared in the 2016 film “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” with Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. His comeback will see him in a romantic-comedy film, where he will share the screen with actress Riddhi Dogra.

Currently the project is in the initial stage. Recent reports confirm that the film’s paperwork is complete, but they still have not disclosed details regarding the cast and director. Both Khan and Dogra are currently busy with other commitments, so the team expects to begin filming by the end of this year. In keeping with the film’s romantic theme, the production team will shoot the film in various international locations, including New York and London. Note that the filmmakers will not shoot any scenes in India due to the ongoing tension over Pakistani artists working in the country.

The excitement surrounding Fawad Khan’s comeback is palpable, especially since he has garnered a significant fan base in both Pakistan and India. His recent involvement in the Pakistani blockbuster “The Legend of Maula Jat“, which is slated to release in India on  2nd October 2024, has put him in the public eye. However, the release sparked controversy, with political figures like Raj Thackeray opposing it and warning theater owners against screening Pakistani films.
