Afran Nisho, the name that needs no introduction owing to the great performances, is ready to hit the theatres for the second time in Daagi. After her debut Suranga (2023), where she paired with Raihan Rafi, Nisho went mute and took a break from her usual drama and OTT appearances, leaving everyone wondering what next. After such a long blackout, it has come to the public’s attention that Nisho is preparing himself for Daagi, a movie that can change the course of his career from now on.

This time around, Shihab Shaheen the man behind the success of all the OTT projects including the popular Chuye Dil Maan, was former and current Syndicate and Myself Allen Swapan has switched to this film as the director. This partnership with Alpha Eye Productions is Shaheen’s first large scale undertaking with theatre films after concentrating her efforts on the New age films. Afran Nisho and Shaheen are also collaborating on a project which is expected to be different in style as well as depth.

The team has shared some details about increasing the production level. Although the casting team hasn’t yet finalized Nisho’s co-actor, he seems highly invested in the role of ‘Daagi‘. Shihab Shaheen has teased that more information will come out soon, however, he has said not to expect it at this time.

The production team has scheduled the premiere of Daagi on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr in the year 2025, which is a special year for Afran Nisho with respect to the return of a grand celebration of films in South Asia after a long time.

The fans and the audience are excited because Nisho has stepped out of the ‘dark tunnel’ of speculation and high hopes, and is all set to take on the challenge of playing ‘Daagi’. This is a project which could bring a different Nisho to the audience and could also shake the entire Bangladeshi film industry, which is surely a treat for the audience and Nisho.
