Venice International Film Festival commences in Venice

The 81st of the Venice International Film Festival begins in Venice . This year’s festival promises to be a star-studded affair, with many heavyweight celebrities expected to grace the red carpet. Last year’s festival was significantly disrupted by a strike by Hollywood actors and screenwriters, resulting in a lack of top stars . However, this year, festival director Alberto Barbera said, “we’re going to enjoy a noisy red carpet.” He noted that many attendees are coming to the festival paying their own expenses for tickets and hotels to attend.
