'Jigra' Alia Bhatt cinema : First day earning at the Indian box office

Alia Bhatt’s much-anticipated action film “Jigra” has hit theaters.

While the early estimate was in the range of ₹4.5 to ₹5 crore, these numbers are still a solid opening for the film. Even though Vicky Vidya Ka O Wala video (5 crore on Day One) slightly edge out Jigra, Alia’s film presence an impressive existence in a jam-packed release window.

With the action-packed Jigra helmed by Bhasan Bala and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions gripping good mix of thrills n chills… this one is a definite watch for fans of crime! Alia Bhatt and her co-star Bedang Raina added the required depth to their respective characters, thereby adding greatly to create interest in the film.

Now how good Jigra appeals to the audience will be known this weekend and over next few weeks but with a decent PR machinery running behind it & performances engaging everyone anyways there is also an opportunity of pitching themselves as one highlight where season stands. Perhaps Zigra will hit some box office stride and start playing with the big dogs in Bollywood’s action segments.
